The workflow
Corridors (Fc)
Reward routing alongside existing corridors, with onshore/offshore handling.

The Corridors tab produces the existing-corridor factor Fc — cheaper near an existing corridor, more expensive on a brand-new path (and offshore).
Inputs
- Select Corridor Vector (existing pipelines / oil corridors) and Select Reference Raster.
- Corridor Buffer Distance (meters) — the proximity-incentive zone around existing corridors (default
25). - Four cost inputs: corridor present / absent × offshore / onshore.
- Select Land Use Layer for water-body detection — tick the water classes in the table (Class ID, Class Name, Water Body) so the tool can tell onshore from offshore.
Click Create Corridors Costs Raster → the Fc raster.
The COMET corridor values are in Cost-factor tables.
